Obama was at FIU yesterday, scheduled to shill for Hillary across from my office. As I settled in with my coffee, a colleague convinced me that snipers were visible. Grabbed my phone and went to try to get pics. i strayed from the others and ended up behind the arena. Secret service kept telling everyone they had to leave but acted like I was invisible. I shrugged and looked up for snipers after sitting down on a curb. Few min later a sheriff came up and said the president was starting his rally and I had to remain back there with them now. Again, huh?

 I went and sat on a bench next to a young woman, also allowed to stay next to the entourage, and wearing a World Series ball cap. She was busy on a phone, so I politely interrupted her to ask if she made it to the World Series. She turned to me, lit up with a smile and said, no, not the last games but two at wrigley. We spent the next 5 minutes laughing and talking baseball. Then her phone went crazy. Then a second phone. When she got a break she turned back to me and I asked her what was up with having 2 phones? She said it's for work. Of course, that begged the next question to which she said she works in the white House. Said she has been with Obama since his senate race. I told her she was developing a hell of a resume :-)

We never talked politics, but all about baseball, Air Force one and other perks. After a bit, she started giggling and showed me her phone. valerie Jarrett had just posted a pic of her from the rode in. I could do nothing but laugh Because 1 that is awesome and 2 she was so much fun.

That was a fun encounter. secret service let me stay after that so I did for the rest. But, I never got a pic of a sniper.
