I'm not much for posting on social type networks, but I have read posts here for a little while to keep up with the buzz. As a Gator fan I expect to see a talented well coached team that is always fighting and competitive. I guess I endured Muschamp like most posters, never sure he was the right guy, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Despite that, Muschamp seemed to recruit well on defense and we played solid D, despite our offensive woes. We traded in Mushchamp for McElwain, a supposed offensive coach. What I see, as is mentioned here often, is our defensive recruiting seems down, and our offensive recruiting may just be slightly better, although not nearly top 10 level. I still see maybe one top tier receiver (Callaway), zero SEC QB's, zero big time RB's that are big play threats. McElwain looks to be a very average head coach. I see nothing exciting or innovative with his offense. Unless he recruits like Saban or Meyer, he will not get the results Gator fans crave. We have a new AD, I hope he is a little less patient than Foley was with the performance of the head football coach. I don't see much changing for the remainder of this season. Hopefully we can squeak out a win over Muschamp on Saturday. I would hate to be in McElwains shoes if we lose to the coach we fired, in his first year at a historically lesser program than Florida. Like someone else posted, I think the first half of next season will be the breaking point for McElwain, assuming he beats South Carolina, lose Saturday, and his credibility as the right guy drops dramatically. Does anybody have an issue with McElwain's good old boy demeanor? Since he coached at Colorado State, he got no airtime in the past, so I don't know if that's really him or if he is trying to be more like an SOS with his quips. They don't go over well with me. He's got a lot more to prove before he can be a wise guy. As for yesterdays game, I have already forgot about it. The coaches and players need to also, and focus on the future.
