At the very LEAST, he should have waited until they had the warrant. But he didn't. Maybe that's an indication of just how bad the leaks are, I don't know. With a warrant and at least a preliminary look, the letter could have been much less vague. We all know how the blanks get filled in on "vague".

It's all been a very bad episode for both the DOJ and FBI as has been said.

a current Administration that used government offices to punish political opposition, and a very very foawedcandidate with a reputation of corruption and paranoia. All of this could have been avouded except for Hillary's attempts to obfuscate.

There is no reason the common man should have any faith in government.
