Overreach on Obamacare---and don't piss on someone's leg and tell them it's raining. The premium increases certainly did not help Hillary.

As far as the hacking goes that bothers me more in a practical way rather than emotional. More Republicans should have done/said what Marco did.

Trump is not a conservative. The things he said were so bombastic that nobody expects him to even try to deliver...probably not even him. The GOP held on to the House and Senate but even they don't like Trump. So he starts with bipartisan opposition. The wikileaks things certainly hurt Clinton but only because they confirmed the disdain that her "elite" viewed the common man in. Even now the spin that the "uneducated" are what elected him, that they are racist and misogynist...they don't get that Trump was a populist revolt against the status quo..and the populace decided to choose the unknown, ANYTHING over a modern Marie Antoinette. Obamacare hurt Hillary, probably the most. But the lefts contempt for those who do not share their views is what motivated these voters. Not Trump. Not even one specific political ideology.

This was NOT a sweeping victory for the GOP. The nation is deeply divided. Their party is deeply divided. Now that they are in power, wikileaks will turn its focus on them and we will get to see their dirty laundry as well. Trump did not do as badly with minorities as assumed but he still did not do well with them. If the GOP can not make that up they will fade as a party within four years. And since Trumps supporters have no unifying vision of what they want (only what they didn't want) Trump will have a difficult time satisfying the masses. He may be the last Republican President.

My "guy" lost last night. As did my "side". Things were going to be rough regardless of who won, the only difference between the two was whether I needed to tack or jibe the sheets to sail through the storm.

Time to start picking up the pieces.
