"Sad election. I voted for Johnson, but Utah went pretty hard for Trump---which again is a bit of " |

surprise with how well McMullin was polling in the state. So not surprised Trump won the state, but surprised the margin. This was truly a crazy election. Dems nominated the only person that could lose to Trump, and Republicans nominated the only person who could have lost to Clinton. Spent the night trying to cheer up my wife. While no Clinton fan, she absolutely despises Trump. She is hispanic, and could not help taking this election personal when someone like Trump won the election. Needless to say she was overcome with emotion, and there were lots of tears in our house last night. Nothing worse than seeing your wife cry and not knowing how to put her at ease. I don't really have anything good or bad to say. Like most kind of stunned. It became a sad election the day that the Repubs nominated Trump and the Dems nominated Hillary. I would have felt similar today if Clinton had won---less shocked, as that was my expectation. And of course less upset as I would not have a heartbroken wife. But both outcomes would have made me queasy. So that was my election observation post, that really did not say much....
