Message Replied To ========== Wrong! Stay on point, my post was in regards to the claim that the GOP is all touchy feely about the family and the small business man. There is not a single person I know who did not see their NC tax bill skyrocket because of the GOP's changes when they took the majority. And we're lower to middle class people. As to your philosophy of fairness, I am an American who believes in paying his fair share and even more if the important health and human services I believe in are provided. I'm a Bernie guy. But don't lie to me that you are all about the children and the sanctity of the family home and in a backward manner milk more out of me so you can cut your Corporate donors' taxes. No. choice in making economic decisions and living his life. And that is good, not simply for families and small businesses, but for all. You become the instrument of your own choices. Why should a renter be treated differently than a home owner? Why should a childless couple be treated differently than ones with children? Why should marital status matter? And the list of tax expenditures go on and on. The argument of favoring government picking winners and losers is fine for those so favored by the process. Yet, not only does it discriminate, it is economically inefficient, ineffective and anti all. |
