Ruination? Hardly. If last year you looked at the schedule, you'd probably be in the vast supermajority who thought - not beating F$U in Clowntown in 2016.

Before LSU played in their kickoff classic, I and other rational people also *pencilled* in a loss at Baton Rouge. Even now with a backup QB, a busted up line, and 7 starters out, reality sets in for rational fans.

Two losses are probable but I'm a Gator so I will full throated yell at the TV for the next 2 games.

UF is 7-4 at worst. After that? It's Bowl Season and probably a game in the state.

So at age 50 I worry about a game at a time, complain to the black lab in the house, yell at the TV, curse the commentators, and watch/suffer through to the end.

The future? Every school is looking for the next Saban. Horrible unfair, delusional, and not realistic. After Saban, who has been the next Saban? Harbaugh has been UM's Spurrier.

Look at the marquee programs and you tell me their has not been angst at ... Notre Dame, USCw, Texas, Mich State, Miami, even F$U this year. Go through your list- UT, UGA,. It's folly to think Saban junior lurks somwhere. 

 I saw two top teams - aTm and Louisville not just lose, but get humiliated. Top 4 teams, mentioned for the CFP games just totally spanked. There will be a day like this ahead. Just hopefully not for a while.  

For those that think the money people don't have money at UF to pony up $$ you have ZERO clue. ZERO.

Mac may not be the answer, but he gets the next year to figure out the question. The year after as well.
