Message Replied To ========== Who woulda thought after the UT game we would win the SECE outright by two games? Yeah, we're not where we want to be as a team. The offense is still struggling, but the defense was one of the best in the country. We lost a couple of games to teams we really wanted to beat. But we won nearly all the games we had to win and didn't lose to someone we really shouldn't have. There are a lot of other SEC teams who wish they could say that right now. Regardless of Saturday's result, we can get better next year, and get that much closer to being true title contenders year in and out. That's where we want to be, and if Mac can bring in the talent, we'll get there.
There's lots to be pleased about this season, more than there is to be disappointed about. Win or lose, it's always great to be a Gator! (a little greater when we win, though) There are not many other coaching staffs that can say that. The only time we lost a game we were favored to win was at Arky the week after the WLOCP - a game all of us identified in the pre-season as being a classic trap game and one of the most likely losses. I'm disappointed the Offense wasn't better but some are letting their frustrations from 5 years of crappy Offense before Coach Mac got here boil over.....as well as refusing to take into account what a steaming pile of crap Chump left Coach Mac to work with on Offense. Yeah Yeah, damn him that he can't make our FRESHMEN play like other teams' juniors and Seniors and all but....nobody else can either. The good news is we will not be absolutely ridiculously young on Offense next year. |
