And so are every one of us. Maybe we should stop hero worshiping Presidents, Generals, foolsball coarches, etc.... anyhoo...

Petraeus is talented and gifted. He shared info with a former Army Captain and US intelligence expert. Does anybody really question him or his lover's loyalty to the United States? Well then it would be silly to waste his talent. And he's more trustworthy and more importantly more rationale than anyone else that has been mentioned to join this administration. 

Besides, the whole concept of classified information is about as obsolete as a cavalry charge. Everybody knows everything. Real intelligence in the future will be figuring out what is actually valid. That's much harder to do than keeping secrets used to be. We need people as bright as Petraeus. How did all that highly classified information that gave Bush the case for the Iraq War work out for us?
