You can't keep blaming Muschamp for football failures years after he's gone.

Especially since the reason we managed to win the East twice is because of the defensive talent that he assembled. McElwain has two talented young wide receivers with Callaway and Clevland, two SEC caliber running backs with Scarlett and Perine, and two good (but young) offensive lineman with Ivey and Taylor. In fact, McCoy may grow into a solid performer at center. One of the reasons we don't play well against top ten programs is that we don't have top ten talent. Currently, there is no recruiting buzz around our program, we don't have a highly regarding class, and I don't think McElwain is an elite recruiter. Alabama on the other hand has something like six number one recruiting classes. We may get a one or two top guys each year but we're whiffing badly on OL and interior DL. You can't compete in the SEC if you can't control the line of scrimmage. Period.

At any rate, our players are not playing to their potential. We should be better than 116th on offensive. I believe the reason is that Nussmeier needs Alabama style talent to execute his scheme. We may be calling the right plays against the defense but he's not calling the right plays for our personnel. It's like Phil Jackson expecting Michael Jordan production from Arron Afflalo. I think a good coach is a realist and understand and plays to the strengths of his team. However, Nussmeier stubbornly says, "I know the right call and if they can't do it to bad".

Anyway, we can all agree that Muschamp was not a good fit for Florida. But like I said, you can't keep blaming him for all our problems. It's like a guy drinking a beer and blaming his ex-wife for forgetting to pay his mortgage. It's a little tiring after a while. We have a better team than how we're playing. That's not on Muschamp that's on McElwain.==============================

That's pretty much it.  That's FIVE dudes NONE of whom is particularly good.  This is only in the 2nd year after he was finally chitcanned.  Incredible!  No wonder we are struggling so mightily on Offense.  We are almost the equivalent of a Junior College on Offense since all of our players are first and second year guys.
