Message Replied To ========== Is this the kindler, gentler Hung? You hated Muschamp when he was here. What's the difference now with us who don't like Mac? Same difference. ============================== Where do I even begin? Coach Mac is so much better on so many levels its tough to know where to start. - instead of just ramming in a brand new scheme while blithely ignoring what he has and doesn't have on the roster, Coach Mac has actually tried to adapt to what he has - Coach Mac did not just ignore critical needs as Mushcamp did. We needed Offense badly so Chump just ignored it and went Defense heavy in his first class. We desperately needed OL after we had signed only two in each of the previous two years so he signed......TWO yet again! Coach Mac went out and got OL, got WRs, got a Kicker, got a highly rated QB and picked up a couple of grad transfers to help. He and the current staff sought out Mason Halter and the LB transfer from Ga Tech last year. He actually tries to meet needs rather than just recruiting what he wants and to hell with everything else. - Coach Mac did not run off a dozen players in less than one year on the job....several of whom went on to play in the NFL by the way. - Coach Mac does not order endless plows up the middle that inevitably get stuffed then wonder why the eff his "Offense" doesn't work. - Coach Mac has not set all sorts of negative records like first losing season since the 70's first home loss to Vandy since WWII, first loss ever to a I-AA team, home attendance streak broken, dominant head to head record vs rivals completely reversed with everybody except hapless Tennessee, etc etc. Instead Coach Mac has won our division in each of his first two seasons - something Muschamp never did despite inheriting a much more balanced and talented team from Urban Meyer. - I could point out that he doesn't have embarrassing meltdowns on the sidelines, challenge fans to fights, bust up his hand punching through a blackboard at halftime, ask "do you know what a midline is?" after losing to a I-AA team etc. Yeah he can give goofy interviews sometimes. I'll take goofy over rage boy meathead any day.

Even if this were true, which we deny, slavery is not all our enemies are fighting for. It is merely the pretense to establish sectional superiority and a more centralized form of government, and to deprive us of our rights and liberties.” Maj. General Patrick R. Cleburne, CSA, January 1864 "I yet believe that the maintenance of the rights and authority reserved to the states and to the people, not only essential to the adjustment and balance of the general system, but the safeguard to the continuance of a free government. I consider it as the chief source of stability to our political system, whereas the consolidation of the states into one vast republic, sure to be aggressive abroad and despotic at home, will be the certain precursor of that ruin which has overwhelmed all those that have preceded it."
