as noted in the link in the thread below he capped off his excellent HS career with a 5 TD and 329yd performance in the state championship win. When you crush a team like Tampa Plant in a championship game 45-7 it is a big deal. STA and Plant play big boy hs footbal. Jake was Coach Macs target, he committed early and started working hard to get others to come with him to UF and join the Gator nation. I'm not sure he will come in and steal the show in his true freshman year ( actually I'd like one of our redshirt freshmen to win the job) but I am already delighted with this commits discipline and leadership on and off the field. I'm growing rapidly tired of the lack of strong support for recruits like Jake Allen who want to be Gators and play and demonstrate a  huge skill set. iMHO this is a public forum that recruits see and use (maybe in a tiny way) in their evaluation of where they want to play college football.  Constant negative posts about our coaches recruitping and looking for ways to justify poor recruiting labels on Coach Mac who has really only had one full recruiting year under his era is not helpful to the Gator Nation cause IMHO. Why not consider being a better ambassador for University of Florida related recruiting? I love the exchange of ideas on this forum and not asking for everyone to be a sunshine pumper as I am but jeez....life is too short to live on the negative side of the Gators if you supposedly love them. Reality issues Gator Nation some tough negative things (like our recent end of year losses) but sitting around with sullen dark comments constantly doesn't help many much In ways I can find. Don't use all your negative post chips up!

I've already demonstrated how Muschamp's highly rated (consistently top 10) classes were unbalanced and absolutely full of busts.  The 2014 class had 14 of 24 not pan out at all.  The 2012 and 2013 classes produced 7 guys who contributed ANYTHING on Offense.  Not stars....just good enough to actually help us at all even in our massively depleted state on the Offensive side of the ball.

Meanwhile, Coach Mac's first class which was lower rated (#23) looks much better.  Though its early, the second class looks pretty good too so far even though it finished ranked #14.  Yes we do need to win more of the battles for the top rated guys we want.  Frankly, there are another couple of assistants I'd like to see replaced.  That being said, this staff appears much better at talent evaluation and player development.  

We have already WON MORE GAMES in the first 2 years under Coach Mac than we did under Muschamp nevermind that we won the SEC East twice vs 0 for Muschamp.  Yet after year 2 everybody was happy with Muschamp and before year 2 is even over a large chunk of our fanbase is talking about firing Coach Mac and he's terrible and he can't do this or that and blah blah blah.  Its crazy.  Muschamp left a HUGE mess behind him that was always going to take time to fix.  Even dealing with that, Coach Mac has plainly outperformed Muschamp.  Our fanbase needs to chill out and see how the bowl game goes, what this class looks like on National Signing Day and if the staff can come up with a QB next season.  If the answers on all 3 are negative OK.  Then I'll join with the dissidents but until then, give the man a freakin' chance.  Sheesh.
