I wonder what he would have done if he had a cell phone. Times were different then...there was no such thing as sexual harrasment. We have had a lot of scoundrels as President. Trump is just another one. We will survive. What he DOES will matter more in the end. Can he get the debt under control? Can he roll back government overreach? Can he get the economy growing strong? WILL he do any of that? It remains to be seen. I have my doubts. I am hoping he will be so distastful to both parties that they will finally be convinced that they need to work together and end the decades long creep of the Imperial Presidency that both parties have supported. That alone would be the best thing to happen in US politics for the past 50 years. Trumps tweets and comments, though embarassing, are a distraction. We need to watch what the other hand is doing. |
