"No. Obama was fit but his ideas were anathema to me. Trump is not fit. The end, pour me a drink. *" |

Message Replied To ========== I have a question for those who disliked/hated/some level thereof Obama I swear this is a sincere question and I am really not trolling. I keep hearing Republicans talk about how they endured the Obama years, and that Dems are being dramatic and the Trump presidency so far is not any worse than what they went through with Obama. I have seen presidents I didn't vote for take office, I have endured presidents i didn't like. I have never felt nor experienced anything even remotely resembling the true disbelief, embarrassment, and often downright fear I feel every single day. Am I missing something? I get some didn't agree with Obama's policies. Fair enough. I even get that some couldn't come to terms with a black president (I am not pointing at anyone here). But the man took office with a tidal wave of good feelings, and while some hated him from day one, his approval by some dissipated over a period of time. Is it really a fair comparison to claim our dislike what we are seeing with Trump is just basic partisanship and is no different than what conservatives felt with Obama? ============================== |
