As an actual Trump supporter, I'll give you a few answers...

(but I'm too busy at work to banter all day - just a quick hit)

Regarding your questions, the answer is mostly "no" - I don't care about most of the non-work-related questions (Russia, tweets, where his wife and 10-year-old live right now, etc.)

I'm more interested in his actual job and working towards the goals he outlined in his campaign:

  • Nominate good SCOTUS judge: thumbup
  • Establish excellent cabinet of accomplished professionals: thumbup
  • Begin reform of the EPA: thumbup
  • Begin reforming immigration and open borders policy: thumbup
  • Begin to rebuild the economy from under 2% GDP growth  to over 3%: thumbup
  • Begin to repeal and replace Obamacare before it fails completely: thumbup
  • Begin reduction in size and complexity of government: thumbup
  • Reduce corporate taxes: in progress
  • Simplify tax code: TBD
  • Work on reforming entitlements: TBD
  • Improve military: in progress
  • Work on deficit reduction: thumbup
  • Work on debt reduction: thumbup
  • Work on destroying ISIS: in progress

The Democrats have successfully slowed Congress' and the administration's progress but the only ones who can stop them is themselves.

So although the daily news is obsessed with silly conspiracy theories  of Russia and the "7 degrees of Donald Trump", I couldn't care less.  Also don't care about any tweet  that DJT sends out.

So there - back to work!

  • Nominate good SCOTUS judge: thumbup  I'll grant this one.
  • Establish excellent cabinet of accomplished professionals: thumbup This is 50/50.  Rick Perry is an "accomplished professional" for the DOE?  There are some good choices and some bad choices.  One has already been taken down having lied to the Veep.
  • Begin reform of the EPA: thumbup We'll see.  I remain hopeful.
  • Begin reforming immigration and open borders policy: thumbup Boy howdy that went well.
  • Begin to rebuild the economy from under 2% GDP growth  to over 3%: thumbup Not likely.  Even if it happens I am on record not accepting that the POTUS has much control over that.
  • Begin to repeal and replace Obamacare before it fails completely: thumbup How's that going?
  • Begin reduction in size and complexity of government: thumbup His budget does nothing of the sort.  The most complex part of the government is the DOD . . . which is so complex they can not account for 100s of BILLIONS of tax payer funds . . . (yet NEA has to be killed) . . . and he is giving them even more money.  Nope, he ain't.
  • Reduce corporate taxes: in progress Meh.
  • Simplify tax code: TBD
  • Work on reforming entitlements: TBD
  • Improve military: in progress
  • Work on deficit reduction: thumbup Again, not going to happen with anything he's proposed.  Are you guys paying attention?  Is this just fantasy or something?
  • Work on debt reduction: thumbup See above.
  • Work on destroying ISIS: in progress

"The authority of government, even such as I am willing to submit to — for I will cheerfully obey those who know and can do better than I, and in many things even those who neither know nor can do so well — is still an impure one: to be strictly just, it must have the sanction and consent of the governed. It can have no pure right over my person and property but what I concede to it. The progress from an absolute to a limited monarchy, from a limited monarchy to a democracy, is a progress toward a true respect for the individual. Even the Chinese philosopher was wise enough to regard the individual as the basis of the empire. Is a democracy, such as we know it, the last improvement possible in government? Is it not possible to take a step further towards recognizing and organizing the rights of man? There will never be a really free and enlightened State until the State comes to recognize the individual as a higher and independent power, from which all its own power and authority are derived, and treats him accordingly. I please myself with imagining a State at least which can afford to be just to all men, and to treat the individual with respect as a neighbor; which even would not think it inconsistent with its own repose if a few were to live aloof from it, not meddling with it, nor embraced by it, who fulfilled all the duties of neighbors and fellow-men. A State which bore this kind of fruit, and suffered it to drop off as fast as it ripened, would prepare the way for a still more perfect and glorious State, which also I have imagined, but not yet anywhere seen."
