his post didn't concern a strategy form our staff to direct more attention to backs who might actually come to UF. 

He asked whether our fans would prefer the higher-rated player...or the Plan Cs we will eventually land. Because backs like White and Lingard were plan A players. We haven't landed that type of talent in our last two cycles under Mac. 

No amount of pretending will change that. 

The argument is how accurate or important are the recruiting team rankings. And I suppose how often 5 star players have panned out got dragged in to it even though they are only about 30 players a year. 

Now I try to respond to yours and Water Lizards questions and neither of you respond to any of mine. You don't want to seem to even remotely consider that these rankings are an entertainment business and not a good metric for predicting success. 

I guess this is the simplist way to measure displeasure in Mac's recruiting. Which I guess is fair enough. I don't think it paints the entire story. I see things as being way more complex. I post ideas about what I think, that  doesn't make me a sunshine pumper. 

I think it is fair to say Mac has missed on recruits but also fair to say the players he has  brought in in many cases has exceeded their rankings. His two year recruiting avg ranks #8 which is far from mediocre. 

I can't ever recall arguing about a class 10 months before they sign, let alone one 2 years away. But he we are.
