Message Replied To ========== Care to discuss the prez's latest "fascinating" quote? "I loved my previous life. I had so many things going," Trump told Reuters in an interview. "This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier." http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-100days-idUSKBN17U0CA Healthcare is harder than he thought. China is more complicated, North Korea is more complicated. NAFTA isn't so bad. NATO isn't really obsolete anymore. Can anyone deny at this point that he got swept up in a campaign he never dreamt he would actually win and genuinely lacked the forethought, depth of understanding, and introspection to be able to consider the implications? He had spent the past X amount of years tweeting about ineptitude of those in office with no understanding of what he was yapping about. It's akin to one of us (on the main board) thinking we can coach the Gators better than Coach Mac and then being named his replacement. "Coaching major college ball is hard!" This has been a #badword#show and if I can give him credit for anything, it's actually putting that thought into words. That in itself is progress I guess. ==============================A tweetstorm, still in progress. One of the points being that Trump has no clue about what he doesn't know, and then acts as if he's the first person to realize what for most of us is basic knowledge. Appended tweets: Nobody could have known the presidency was hard. As Newt Gingrich pointed out, nobody could have known that the president is sometimes criticized and occasionally does not get his own way All this information was cunningly concealed by being put in books and other forms of writing Also , nobody could have known that 2 year old tweets are retrievable Nobody could have known it was wrong for a former head of an intelligence agency to accept money from foreign governments Nobody could have known that a few dozen little white lies about things like wiretapping could cause so much trouble Nobody could have known that removing health coverage from tens of millions of people might have political consequences Nobody could have known that tax plans are supposed to come with numbers Nobody could have known that they tally and publish how much your weekend golf excursions cost the public Nobody could have known that the Indian and the Pacific are different oceans Nobody could have known that Congress would ask questions if you accepted $400 million from a state controlled Chinese bank Nobody could have known that when photographed with children, you're supposed to pretend to like them Nobody could have known that threatening to cancel a 30 year old trillion dollar North American trade deal might upset anybody |
