But first, yes, the condemnations of every Trump statement can get pretty silly.  For instance, the context in which he called Kim Jong Un "smart" was correct and possibly a good idea even. 

Likewise, if you follow the links to the actual Washington Post editorial, it was only stating the obvious.  Yes, Chile did end up much better than Cuba.  Did they really need to make only one sided observations in order to be pure?

And likewise, yes, even the human rights oriented presidents find the need to compromise at times given sufficient perceived consequences of the alternative. 

And they have not always been right.

Ignorance is one thing--it is difficult to know what you don't know (for example my ignorance of string theory and my inability to conceive of it prevent my being able to understand what is I don't know about it) but Drumpf's ignorance is beyond that and even beyond willful. He didn't know Lincoln was a Republican so he assumes no one else knew either. He admires Andy Jackson so of course Andy could have prevented the Civil War despite his nomination of Taney to the SCOTUS. Of course there was a pivotal Civil War battle at his golf club in the Potomac.

Of all the behavior and attributes of Drumpf I find loathesone his ignorance may be the thing that bugs me the most.

So I say all that to say I try not to bash him just for the sake of bashing him but one has to admit--he is just so darned bashable.
