As I said last night, regardless of what happens with the investigation or how compelling the evidence (or lack thereof) is, 30-35% of the country will not accept the results of the investigation as it is currently constituted. A special prosecutor and/or independent commission would help those percentages some. I think it absolutely imperative that one or both happens, and I don't have much confidence that it will.
