"RE: I spent the last few days on a work trip in Arkansas...." |

Message Replied To ========== I spent the last few days on a work trip in Arkansas.... What a gorgeous state loaded with green fields and forests, charming little towns, and some of the friendliest people I've ever been around. I was taken aback almost in culture shock by how kind and courteous they were. It is like freakin Mayberry everywhere.... pure old fashioned conservative red-state type goodness. A homeless fellah came up to me. He didn't ask for any money but if he could help me work. Did you know that Arkansas produces 9 billion plus pounds of rice per year? That's greater than half of all the rice produced by the United States. Suffice it to say, Agriculture is their industry. I was in Little Rock most of the time, that's the biggest city there, it feels like Pensacola, or maybe Knoxville, just pure country southern charm. Now I certainly don't mean any disrespect here, I liked it a lot, and could see myself living in Arkansas. My point is a woman who lived in Arkansas for a substantial portion of her adult life, who moved there out of Yale Law School to marry the love of her life, a guy who is 100% pure born and raised Arkansan, and then spent much of her life helping fellow Arkansans. Anyone who believes said woman is some sort of global elitist that hates regular folks could not be anymore #badword#ing clueless. Then again, we are talking about the same people who fault her for not flying into Benghazi like Superwoman to immediately stop warfare. ==============================I agree with everything you said about Arkansas, it's a beautiful state. I don't completely buy your Hillary's awesome because she lived there argument. I'm sure she has positive personal qualities, perhaps influenced greatly by her time in Arkansas. More than anything, I just think whether she's an amazing or awful person, or somewhere in between, isn't important any more. Her story in American politics is over, IMO. |
