Message Replied To ========== Doctors do have concerns when unsecured weapons and children occupy the same dwelling. * ============================== The legislation was passed in response to an attempt by HHS to MANDATE doctors ask about guns in the house. The Florida legislature went overboard and then mandated that doctors COULDN'T ask about guns in the house. Government should stay out of it altogether. If they ever try to mandate asking about guns as part of the MIPPS/MACRA "quality" initiative then I will lie every time. My patient's privacy matters more than any government regulation. |
