who has shifted views on Trump and/or opposed Trump prior to his election. I respect those who can see how terrible this POTUS is and are willing to stand up to him.

I think that is very American. 

And I value those who put country before party, whether they are on the right or left (and we need more on both sides). 

Conversely, I belive that blind support based on partisan ideals for someone who has shown that he is not deserving of that support  is very dangerous to the health of our nation.
