maybe it is a nation tiring of increased government.   Over the past 8 years the Democrats have lost power across the country even with a popular president.  Senate seats dropped from 55 to 46, House from 256 to 194, Governers 28 to 16, and a loss of 958 state house seats.  Those are shocking numbers.

Maybe the reason we have an idiot for president is that the same electorate that voted for those changes didn't want a president who may have been successful in expanding government reach.  Read the first portion of the Better Deal released yesterday and tell me that any of that will resonate with voters (although allowing Medicare to negotiate on drug pricing is long overdue).

I do think it's telling that besides my post on the Better Deal I can't find one other post that wants to discuss the policy position.  Boy Scouts, tweets and eyebrows are a lot more fun.
