Message Replied To ========== Good read.... Hiatt's reasoning is why I've been warning how any kind of "repeal" of the ACA that makes things worse could accelerate the train to some sort of universal health care. With that in mind, the moderate R's in the House and Senate (others inaccurately call them RINOS) who recognize the need to do some fixes to the ACA are arguably taking a more conservative approach than "repeal and replace". It's already been conclusively shown that the votes aren't there to fully repeal the ACA anyway. ==============================change the rhetoric a little and at least feign collaboration with D's to at least TRY to improve healthcare in this country b/c in their minds that would somehow give Obama and the D's a victory. They're so focused on "winning" and rubbing everyone's nose in all the winning (their own leader has set this tone and they've followed) that they've totally lost site of what their jobs are. Hell, they're so #badword#ing stupid - what they SHOULD have done is quickly changed the language after donnie was elected from "repeal and replace demos are the devil it's so bad let it implode" to "we look forward to working across the aisle to improve healtcare for Americans". but no, they tripled down on donnie's language b/c it thrills the 30% R base.
