Opioid crises and employers

Pretty sad-

"Some, though, have found an opportunity in the turmoil. Jim Mixter, a 72-year-old who made a career in the timber industry, got hired on the spot in December to drive a 26-foot box truck, delivering holiday packages for extra money.

He made about $80 a night, and said the company, Diamond Cargo Express LLC, hired him so quickly, in part, because he readily submitted to its urine screening.

“It was like free money,” he said. “A lot of guys can’t pass drug tests.”"==============================

We go out to local businesses to find out what their needs are and to see if there is anyway we might could help them. Every business manager/owner said the single biggest challenge is finding employees who will come to work regularly and can pass a drug test. They usually added that our local hispanic community of people are by far the most dependable, hardest working employees in our area (and they don't piss "hot").
