I think it serves as advertising for them. As if, they represent a large segment of our population or a greater movement. Be aware of them, but marginalize them and ignore them. Having said that...I think Trump fans those flames for his own benefit. What percentage of those types voted for Trump? Near 100. And...a big part of the opposition to President Obama was based on the fact that he was half black. The Tea Party wouldn't have existed if he were a white dude. ==============================...in the shoes of someone who wasn't born as fortunate, and faces harrassment by hate groups, I think I would want to know someone would stand with me. I feel it a moral obligation to stand with that person even if it does give the hate group more attention. |
