My emotions overrode my logic and I wanted them to be punished at all costs, so my first instinct was to unleash the dogs. But after a dose of reality from something I read here, I knew that want I wanted, instant revenge, played into the hands of those that committed the act, and moreover, eroded everyones rights.

The person/people that are responsible must pay (preferably die a horrible and painful death), but we must exact such in a lawful and justified manner, or we will all lose.
