yes, I lean left on almost all social issues and many (not all) economic issues...but liberals and progressives are pissing me the #badword# off right now. 

The POTUS stepped on a flaming bag of dog #badword# this week with his super racist comments. As a result, public sentiment swung to the left on some very important social issues. 

But what does the left do with their momentum? They attack #badword#ing statues. As a result, the momentum generated from all of Trump's nonsense has been slowed while REALLY IMPORTANT MATTERS continue to be ignored. 

Hey, I get that some of you good folk here want confederate monuments taken down. And while I would prefer that they remain (as a reminder of past mistakes), I can see why you want them removed (even if we disagree).

HOWEVER, the left needs to stop giving a #badword# about stupid-ass nonsense and start fighting against ACTUAL harms. Right now, the POTUS and his evil-ass Sec. of Ed. are trying to back the government out of promises it made under W to forgive student debt based on public service. Right now, the Attorney General is pushing for stronger marijuana laws and has put private prisons back in business. Right now, there are more than 6 million Americans in prison, many for non-violent offenses. Right now, our public schools are operating with so little and many are in crisis. Right now, millions of Americans live in fear...of both their neighbors and the police. Right now, we have gutted spending on research that could help cure disease and make life better for all. Right now, our POTUS continues to push racist and ethnocentric policies.

Here's an idea, why don't we stop worrying about the trivial and trying to get attention in the process (we love our self-rightous tweets and photo ops) and INSTEAD direct our efforts at making life better for Americans? 

This is so typical of the left. We worry about nonsense while the big ticket items get ignored. For example, we fight for "safe spaces" while millions of Americans live in actual danger. We fight against 'gendered words' while homophobia persists and states continue to push ant-gay agenda. We fight (on social media) against racial and cultural appropriation while actual cultures (Native Americans) are fighting for their existence. 

We need LESS social justice warriors and MORE social justice.
