We can sit on our couches and judge an elite and unrelatably hard-working and dedicated young athlete who is entering his physical peak, and after only watching him play in 6 games (with injuries) and throw just 200 passes...we discard him as if he were the old bum who hadn't had a winning season in 5 years with his NFL team. 

Gotta love it.

We aren't sentencing people to death...so the melodrama is a bit much. 

"Oh my stars! Some football fans on a college sports message board were less than complimentary of [enter coach or player name]. The horror...the horror!!!!"

And by the way...six games is a farly good sample on which to base viewpoints for a QB. This is SEC football we are discussing...games played in front of 90,000+ people and ON NATIONAL TELEVISION. 

Time for some of our fans to put on their big boy and big girl pants and realize that football at this elite and high-profile level will produce sharp opinions. Coaches and athletes take part in activities knowing this...reaping tremendous benefits from it...so they assume the risk of critical analysis.

Furthermore, nobody has attacked the character of these men or has confronted them personally. At worst, we've said LDR isn't talented enough to play for UF. Oh, and we have even more than 6 games to go by. For example, LDR had to walk on at Bama and then failed to earn the starting gig at OREGON STATE. But even recognizing those FACTS resulted in my post being disliked by very, very hypersensitive fans here.
