"The fix was in for "Sheriff Joe" from day one of the Trump administration...."

Message Replied To ==========

Does that include his presidential opponent?

Did Bill Clinton think that of Marc Rich? Did Obama think that of the Puerto Rican terrorist he freed along with a narco-terrorist in my own community? Did Ford think that of Nixon? We all bitch about presidential pardons, but now, pardoning an 85 year-old sheriff from serving a make believe misdemeanor sentence is a Constitutional crisis? Sheesh.

==============================

Among one of the bigger problems here than the pardon itself is the complete trashing of how the pardon process is supposed to work, not to mention the not so minor detail of Trump's attempt to stop the investigation in its tracks. Oh yeah, and then there's all of "Sheriff Joe's" victims. He's reprehensible, thought he was above the law, and Trump proved that he indeed is above the law. I also had no idea there's an age limit above which lawbreakers should not be prosecuted.

The Rich pardon was inexcusable. But when a counterpoint is based on Whataboutism, it's not much of an argument IMO. Last I looked neither Obama or Clinton are President.
