Trump and the vast majority of his base aren't white supremacists. Trump is simply a racist of opportunity. He'd join the Black Panthers if it could be worked to his advantage. Most of Trump's supporters are just racially frustrated, intolerant, insensitive, and/or extremely ignorant, but very few are true white supremacists. There is a broad complicated spectrum of racism.

Racism is far too complex an issue for twitter. One of the things I hate about social media is that to get read it has to be short and quick. And the easiest way to get something short and quick a lot of attention is to be bombastic. In that sense, Jemele won twitter today, much like Donald Trump often does. 

Anyhoo, for the record, my initial post was meant mainly as a joke....  one that could be interpreted as somewhat racist and sexist. I apologize to the board and humanity for that.
