You really believe what you wrote. 1st- the humanitarian efforts are not the sole province OF ANYONE. Yours is the first suggesting "activists" are doing the heavy lifting. My under 18 high schooler who is gathering relief supplies would be shocked at what you wrote. An entire church in middle MS (mostly white, almost assuredly 100% GOP)  would be really pissed if they read what you wrote and took it as face value and representative of left/dems/libs.

Surely you wrote that in a moment of passion. After the Baton Rouge floods people of all colors, creeds, and walks of life filled 18 wheeler trailers full of supplies. I didn't ask the police man who took the stuff I brought what his political affiliation was. Nor did I tag stuff "GOP only." 

Now, on to the personal pot shot at the "star brigade." You seem like a smart cookie. Your posts are for the post most worth a look. But, please don't denigrate people by classifying them as a "star brigade" merely b/c you disagree with what was written, and they thought a post worthy of a star. It is not a good look for you.

"Resistance" has been cheapened and appropriated as a word much the same way that "Patriot" and "Courage" have been.

Don't mistake opposition with RESISTANCE. AARP, the US Chamber of Commerce (hardly a dem/lib group) and other  disparate groups fought the ACA repeal. The "resistance" doesn't get 1 iota of credit for that one. 

 I am sure many GOP like Rick Scott, Orrin Hatch, Rep Curbelo, Ros-Lehtinen, they would be as shocked as me if anyone were to suggest that their opposition to the rescission of DACA is part of them being in any Resistance. That's opposition, not some grey-cloud romanticized notion of Resistance. 

There is activism on many fronts. There is the loyal opposition. What you are seeing now isn't resistance. It's whining, people pecking away on their phones. I see many who talk a good game that are  not willing to put real skin in the game. None.
