"So....how does the rest of the schedule look now after week 3?"

Before the season we all saw 6 very losable games on the schedule and most figured we'd go 3-3 in those.  We are 1-1 after the first two of those.

A week ago the answers to how the rest of the season look would have been very different.

@ Kentucky.....I will believe they beat us when they finally do it.  I am not going to predict that a team we've beaten THIRTY times in a row beats us until they show me.  They looked like crap until yesterday when they looked pretty good.  Their QB looks pretty good - decent passing threat and dangerous running threat.  Hopefully they won't have as much in the tank left for next week.

Vandy in the Swamp....Good win over K-state.  Their Offense doesn't look very good.  They play Bama next week.  After those two toughies in a row and with the game in the Swamp, I'm picking the Gators.

LSU in the Swamp....before yesterday I bought into the hype to a certain extent at least.  Now not so much.  They didn't just lose to Moo U, they got their asses kicked.  No it wasn't just Fitzgerald.  Their vaunted new Offense under Matt Canada couldn't do crap.  I had previously figured we were going to be heavy underdogs and would be unlikely to win.  Now......I'm not at all sure they are better than us.  This is much more of a tossup game than I had believed before yesterday.

aTm in the Swamp....I figured they were shaky and we were likely to win before the season.  Now I'm convinced they are complete garbage and Sumlin is a dead man walking.  Gator win.

Open Date

Leghumpers in Jax...still not sure about them.  They barely beat ND and ND is how good exactly coming off their 4-8 season?  Next week they play Moo U.  The Week after they play the Hillbillies.  We'll know much more about them 2 weeks from now.  I still think we are no worse than a tossup to beat them.

@ Mizzou....they are complete garbage.  Gator win.

@ the Cocks....Losing their bigtime playmaker Deebo Samuel is big.  I think their first two wins - over an NC State team that outgained them about 2 to 1 but turned it over a few times and a horrid Mizzou team were fake juice.  Kentucky soundly beat them.  Chump gonna Chump.  Gator win.

UAB in the swamp....cupcake

sow in the Swamp....it will be interesting to see them without Frenchie.  Will their backup the true freshman Stick Man still be vertical by then given their sieve of an Offensive Line?  Their D looks really good but with no QB and in the Swamp, I think we have a real shot here - much more than I would've guessed before the season.

At this point, I would be surprised if we lost more than 3 games.  Yes I know we obviously have major issues to work out - particularly on Offense but our schedule looks a lot more manageable than we thought before the season.

“Every man should endeavor to understand the meaning of subjugation before it is too late… It means the history of this heroic struggle will be written by the enemy; that our youth will be trained by Northern schoolteachers; will learn from Northern school books their version of the war; will be impressed by the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors, and our maimed veterans as fit objects for derision… It is said slavery is all we are fighting for, and if we give it up we give up all. Even if this were true, which we deny, slavery is not all our enemies are fighting for. It is merely the pretense to establish sectional superiority and a more centralized form of government, and to deprive us of our rights and liberties.”  Maj. General Patrick R. Cleburne, CSA, January 1864

"I yet believe that the maintenance of the rights and authority reserved to the states and to the people, not only essential to the adjustment and balance of the general system, but the safeguard to the continuance of a free government. I consider it as the chief source of stability to our political system, whereas the consolidation of the states into one vast republic, sure to be aggressive abroad and despotic at home, will be the certain precursor of that ruin which has overwhelmed all those that have preceded it." Robert E. Lee
