Were you under the impression that the 18-22 year olds recruited by the U of F don't screw up, don't do bad things, and always represent their school well? As a college football fan were you assuming all the dumbasses sign at other schools? College kids are human; some make really stupid decisions. As fans, we can root for them all to make us proud, but it doesn't always happen. Doesn't change how I feel about the game or the school I support.============================== These kids for our entertainment, and for the revenues they generate for the schools we support. I hope that they take maximum advantage of the opportunities they receive in return, even though the weight is much more in our favor than theirs, and I’m not going to harbor ill will against those that do screw up. I‘ll wish they had been smarter, and used some common sense, but I don’t believe we fans or boosters have a higher moral ground. |
