I haven't been able to keep up with the board in recent days, I'm sure some folks are past the Tom Petty news. I felt it needed to be said that Petty was the soundtrack for more than a few generations of us who grew up in the south, on the gulf coast. Pickuptrucks, open top jeeps, sunburns, Damn The Torpedoes, Mary Janes last dance & girls whose lives could be narrated by American Girl.

It took a few days of reflection to realize how present Pettys songs have been in my life.

Its been a while since I've been to a game in G'Ville & work has me in Houston this year. Sure wish i could make that i-10 drive blasting TP with the windows down. Maybe next year. Best of luck. Don't RUTs, please.
