Add Brantley back to the DL.

Add Anzalone to the LB Corps.

Add Harris at Safety.

Add Callaway and Cleveland back at WR.

Add LDR at QB.

Add Scarlett at RB.

Add Houston and Miller at LB.

Add Quincy Wilson and Jalen Tabor at CB

Add Keivonnis Davis at DE

Add Heggie at OL

We'd still have some holes of course but damn....that's 13 guys who would really play a lot if not start.  That's a very different looking team.  Callaway/Cleveland/Toney at WR would terrify opposing Defenses, draw a lot of attention and make it considerably easier to run.  No way you bring the house constantly with weapons like that - single covering Callaway or Cleveland is inviting disaster.  Dunno how long Anzalone could stay healthy but while he was, that LB corps would look a whole lot better.  Brantley was just a beast at DT.  Last year Harris led the team in tackles and wouldn't just come up and grab guys until they fell down.  No.  He flew up and knocked guys d***s in the dirt....as in drove them backward - no more positive yardage.  Not that we've given up much by way of deep passes but Having Quincy and Tabor starting with Marco and CJ Henderson in reserve along with Duke Dawson at Nickel....that'd just be sick.  This leads to the followup post.....Juniors likely to go pro this year....

It's 2013 all over again. 

Muschamp had terrible luck that year, lost a staggering number of starters to injury and suspension. The apologists made posts just like your post. It's scary how similar things are turning out...and unfortunate.

But your reasoning does not explain away the following:

1. Why Davis only had 14 touches and why Toney wasn't targeted for a pass the entire game. On the drives we scored, Toney, Perine, and Davis touched the ball 74% of the time. Yet, look at the way the ball was distributed on our last two drives.

2. The repetition of problems with clock management. We've seen this throughout Mac's career, but he's always been lucky. Well, luck runs out. At some point you have to actually know what the #badword# you are doing...and Mac has a serious problem with clock management. Three plays in 2 minutes? Whisky. Tango. Fox Trot. Florida has a serious game management problem with Mac. 

3. The lack of prep our front 7 had with Canada's wonky shifts. Why did it take 2 full quarters for our defense to adjust? Even Troy was prepared better. This is on coaching and has nothing to do with who laced up for us. 

4. The handcuffing of a redshirt frosh QB who has had two years of spring practices under his belt. Franks has issues, but Mac and Nuss should not be two of them...and they are. 

5. Gettign outcoached by one of the worst coaching staffs in the country...definitely the worst in the SEC. LSU has a better staff than UF. We learned that on Saturday. Let it sink in.

So here we are...back where we were in 2013. 

Can Mac flip the script and get things back on track? Possibly. But he's had three years and this program is no more relevant than it was when Mac took the helm. 

I'd put Mac's odds for lasting at UF beyond next season at 50/50. And I'd put the odds of the VS being split down the middle over the next two seasons at 100%.
