Some facts...

Mac and Muschamp's records through their first 32 games:

Mac: 22-10

Muschamp: 22-10

Mac and Muschamp's Offensive PPG through their first 32 games:

Mac: 23.8 PPG

Muschamp: 25.2 PPG

For Muschamp, his problems got the better of him in the games that followed those first 32. We'll see what happens with Mac. Only time will tell. He may succeed where Muschamp could not, but don't think that we can explain all of what is happening this season with suspensions and injuries.

==============================

- Mac missed out on two easy cupcake wins due to hurricanes that Muschamp did not miss out on in his first two season.

- Mac did acquire two extra losses by playing the national champs and the national title runner's up in each his first two seasons by making it to the SECC game.  Muschamp avoided those extra losses by never making to the SECC game.

- Muschamp inherited a roster on Offense alone that featured 16 players who went on to play in the NFL.  Mac inherited a roster on Offense that featured 4 players who went on to play in the NFL (assuming Grier makes it).  Of course, he inherited that from Mushcamp.....

The above facts help put the numbers in context.

“Every man should endeavor to understand the meaning of subjugation before it is too late… It means the history of this heroic struggle will be written by the enemy; that our youth will be trained by Northern schoolteachers; will learn from Northern school books their version of the war; will be impressed by the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors, and our maimed veterans as fit objects for derision… It is said slavery is all we are fighting for, and if we give it up we give up all. Even if this were true, which we deny, slavery is not all our enemies are fighting for. It is merely the pretense to establish sectional superiority and a more centralized form of government, and to deprive us of our rights and liberties.”  Maj. General Patrick R. Cleburne, CSA, January 1864

"I yet believe that the maintenance of the rights and authority reserved to the states and to the people, not only essential to the adjustment and balance of the general system, but the safeguard to the continuance of a free government. I consider it as the chief source of stability to our political system, whereas the consolidation of the states into one vast republic, sure to be aggressive abroad and despotic at home, will be the certain precursor of that ruin which has overwhelmed all those that have preceded it." Robert E. Lee
