1.  The defense played well enough for us to win. Yeah, our D scheme is somewhat vanilla right now by necessity, but I think Randy Shannon and the defensive staff are doing an outstanding job considering the injuries and suspensions. A&M is a team that's capable of putting up a LOT of points, and if you'd told me before the game we'd hold them to 19, I would have been cautiously optimistic.

2.  It's easy and understandable to get down on the coaches, and I definitely "get" the dissatisfaction with two assistants in particular. I am NOT giving up on Mac yet. He's shown us that he IS capable of making quick and good in-game decisions in past seasons. He didn't suddenly lose that ability. I don't know what's going on, but (100% speculation) he may be trying to do too much because he's being let down in other areas. We all know what happens when players start trying to cover up for other players missed assignments. Maybe that applies to coaching too. As for special teams, they're overall bad. In fairness, this is one area in particular that is likely hurt by the suspensions. Lots of bodies are needed for special teams preparation.

3.  As for the critiques that we don't look sharp, execute well, etc etc, remember when DelRio came in early in the season and everything suddenly sped up and looked crisp? If you don't remember, that's exactly what did happen. I firmly believe that if DelRio has stayed healthy, we'd be 5-1 right now. That's a lot to put on one position, but that's how important that position is. And even so....yeah, we're a couple of plays from being 1-5. We're also a couple of plays from being 5-1. 

4. Let's hope the recruiting classes hold together. And maybe keep recruiting in mind when venting - some of the vents probably aren't helping. Having said that, I completely get the frustration. 

5. "I Won't Back Down" remained awesome. I hope we keep it forever.
