Message Replied To ========== Let’s be clear, Florida fans are NOT unreasonable and spoiled. Florida fans know you don’t hand the keys to a corvette to someone who puts in cheap gas, never changes the oil, and is afraid to drive over 45 on I 75. Well some fans anyway. I’m really tired of Florida fans being blamed for driving out coaches when its the coach’s actions themselves that did them in. This season the Gators would have lost to both Tennessee and Kentucky had it not been for last minute touchdowns. Since Mullen left as OC Florida has struggled to put points on the scoreboard, and even some of the wins under Muschamp and McElwain felt like losses. While Florida fans have watched the steady rise of other SEC programs, along with other programs in the state of Florida, they see the steady decline of theirs, so why should they be considered unreasonable to question why? Would Alabama, Clemson, or FSU fans be any different? Florida fans want a coach that’s not afraid to go after top recruits, who knows how to use the resources available, and isn’t afraid to compete at a high level. Some of us anyway. ==============================our fanbase is just like every other fanbase of a major program. Bama went through 8 coaches in 25 years after Bryant. fsu pushed Bobby out and he made them. Auburn pushed out three different coaches who had led them to perfect seasons within a few years of them having done so. LSU and UGA both fired the winningest coaches in their history within the last two years. oh but its Gators who are "spoiled" and have such high expectations and who are unreasonabl.
