An FSU fan here is claiming UF’s gang of 9 is getting a sweet deal / special treatment under the PTI program, that they shouldn’t get.

He’s saying that according to the State Attorney’s Office for the 17th district, “crimes indicative of an organized scheme to defraud” are ineligible for PTI. His words… “When 9 athletes get together and plan to commit credit card fraud how can that be anything but an organized scheme to defraud? If the PTI program is consistent across the state then the offenses that these athletes are charged with should make them ineligible for the program, so this is indeed a sweet deal.”

I’m not sure the level of collusion here applies qualifies as an “organized scheme to defraud”, as each one acted individually with fraudulent transactions, although they shared a stolen credit card.

Any attorneys here care to weigh in?
