...venting their frustration by going after coaches and players who aren’t performing. There’s no danger in being critical, and it shows UF has a fan base that cares about the program. In fact, in my opinion those fans who are critical of such things like recruiting, player and coaching performance, and facilities are probably more supportive of the program than those sunshine pumpers who think everything will be just fine if fans would keep their criticism to themselves. They’re like those parents who will tell their child that they didn’t fail that math class, the teacher failed them, or those Trump supporters who refuse to be critical no matter what he says or does. Some of us took a great deal of criticism for questioni the quality of our recruiting classes, and the general consensus in Gator Nation is we were right.

The danger to this program comes when those fans stop being critical, because it’s then that the fan base has quit being passionate about Gator football, and became indifferent. So to the so-called super fans calling out others for their criticism, give it a rest. You’re not as superior as you think.

We are all disgusted. But some fans seem to wear their disgust as a badge of honor, as some Kind of machismo brashness. it‘s not about coddling or not wanting to offend.
