its a well-earned reputation, and most of us on this board did our part in earning it.

UF has a higher ceiling than UCLA, but UCLA has lower expectations, and "success" at UCLA is quite a bit easier to achieve than at UF.

In that sense UCLA is a better job. And it is a better fit for Kelly, at least on the surface.

Still, UF was right to pursue Chip Kelly (he wouldn't be my 1st choice, but he is a logical target), even if he ends up going elsewhere.

I'm ignoring the day to day drama and just waiting to see who we hire. I will support him.

The fans that cause the problems and give the reputation are the ones that boo at games, make public remarks about coaches and their family, send emails, make comments in call-in shows, and other wise actually make contact with coaches and administration or even their families. Just posting on this board has zero effect and is harmless. If it has any effect, then they should not be reading the VS. Sorry Mud.

It might help define the temperature of the fans, but a message board is not going to drive a coach from his job. I just post here, I don't write Scott Stricklin or Jeremy Foley and tell them they need to get rid of this or that coach. I don't boo at games, I would be respectful to any coach if I saw him in public. So posters on this board are not the problem. Just want to clear that up.
