Message Replied To ========== Stricklin gave us a case study in how to botch a search. Unless he miraculously pulls Frost out of this, he will hire a third-fourth-tier guy. He humiliated our program by bringing the President to Kelly and not hiring him. Our brand was diminished on a national level. UF was the FIRST to market...but waited three weeks before targeting a man who was not coaching. Oh, but he had plenty of smirky tweets...trolling his fans like an AD who has nothing to lose. Now those fans are asking "why weren't you flying to NH instead of tweeting about not flying to NH?" There is no way the Nation will enthusiastically rally around our 3rd or 4th choice. ============================== He went fishing for a mighty grand marlin and couldn't quite land him. Florida football will go on. We might even end up better off. |
