Sports message boards are archaic now and ours seems even more obscure to me. Typically, the view count of even the most popular posts during high traffic barely cracks 100. That said, opposition to the Mullen here is loud.

My question is, does it matter? Are we representative of season ticket holders, non-attending fans, and the Gator Nation generally? I suspect no. Like politics, those who are most vocal publicly are frequently defeated at the polls.

Signs don’t vote. Most posters don’t purchase tickets. The market will decide. Winning decides the market. Mullen won at UF with a gifted head coach and a loaded roster. He won on his own in an arguable wasteland we mockingly call Starkvegas; and his latest team gave Alabama a better game than we have since 2008.

Mullen is our coach now regardless of our preferences. We should give him support and a chance. I told you so’s here about Muschamp or McElwain mean nothing now. Maybe 100 people read them. On a good day.

Scrolling other sites and the reaction is mostly positive. I agree with Mud, the over the top (obnoxious) reaction by some on here is embarassing. some have impugned the integrity of our AD, the professional staff of the UAA and Gator legends like SOS and Tebow. Grow the f up. You didn't get the hire you wanted but I haven't read anything particularly convincing how this is the "disaster" the naysayers are screaming from their keyboards. It's unbecoming but you cant out post count them...
