I had no influence over the recent decision made about the future head coach of Florida.  I stated I druther see us get back to an Air Raid type of offense that understands the natural advantage the offense has over the defense by legally getting the ball behind (WAY behind) the defense via the forward pass.

OK, I clearly  didn't get my druthers.  Truth in advertising here...  I spent much of yesterday disgusted, disappointed, and angry.   Now what?

My issue is with Scott Striklin and the athletic admin, not Dan Mullen.  The whole way it went down with his cutsie selfies, and his talk of getting a coach that will make the Florida offense fun again, etc.  But now it seems his vast search for getting us the bestest coach possible was limited to two questionable first choices, and when those didn't pan out, directly to Mullen. All with almost a month's head start over our competitors. 

To say I am underwhelmed with Stricklin right now is an understatement. The honeymoon is definitely over for Striklin with me, especially if he has inflicted a coach contract upon us that will make it extremely costly for us to make a change down the road, if need be.  

OK, so here I am a day later.  In a better mood.  Maybe Dan Mullen will be fantastic for us, I hope so. 

But now there's something I DO have a choice in:  What kind of Gator I will be for the next few years.  Will I spend that time supporting our new coaches, and presenting a positive example of a Gator fan, including on the internets?  Or will I choose to tear down the new coaches at every opportunity, even before they've ever coached a game for us, and present a picture of Gator fans that will be an ugly image to recruits who happen by? To perhaps take part in a self-fulfilling prophecy of doom and gloom?

What should I choose??  What will I choose???
