Regardless of what happened on the field, these assistant coaches, Skipper, Rumph, Nuss, Dixon, Shannon, Nord, DeBastiani, Barbay, Hughes, Herron, Scott, Seider, and admin George Wynn were some of the nicest, funniest, kindest men I've had the pleasure of working with. Lots of bear hugs, tears, sad smiles, and endless thank you's from them. I'm afraid I spent too much of our time together wiping away tears and telling them that they and their families are in my prayers. On days like this, I hate my job. Heading to the press conference now. Time to put on my big girl panties and get happy for the new regime. |
