Is that this staff is starting to look a lot like Mac's first staff. Mac hired some solid coaches, but weak recruiters. Well...that is Is Hevesey and Gonzo. Two spots....GONE. As for Johnson, seems like a great technical hire, but can he recruit? 

Next up, he will now likely hire Knox. Ugh. Yet ANOTHER one of HIS guys who is not known as an elite recruiter. So that means we really only ha e Seider as our lone quality recruiter on offense. 

Mullen needs to learn from Mac's mistakes, not repeat them.

Every head football coach in the country hires guys that he already knows or has worked with in some capacity. Heck, it works like that in almost every profession in the world. People prefer people that they already have some trust and rapport with. That trust and rapport builds essential team chemistry within a coaching staff, or any sort of functional team.

Please name me one successful staff out there that is some random cast of assistants from all over who have never worked together before or don't really know each other? The only example in my memory bank is FSU towards the end of the Bowden era. The boosters and admin took the keys from grandpa and started hiring the assistants themselves. There were assistants cussing each other out on the sideline while the Noles got blown out by every team with a pulse. It was an absolute train wreck!...

But I guess that's what you want Mullen to do because you read some bogus recruiting website's bogus ranking of assistant college football coaches or something. Please give us a freaking break!.... Mullen will be gone soon enough if he can't get it done, until then, let him do the job. He might become the worst HC ever at UF. That doesn't change the fact that he is a million times more dialed in right now as to who is available and who might be a fit for his staff than you or anybody else posting on this board.
