Message Replied To ========== NYTimes: Best of left, WSJ: Best of right. Slate: Quality commentary from left. National Review: Quality commentary from right. NPR for my 15 min drive to and from the train station. That's about all I can keeip up with. Broadcast sources seem pretty worthless across the board to me, as far as getting actual insight goes. Anything that involves people calling in to share their "insights" is right out.
============================== (I'm not referring to editorial pages at all in this). The NYT still has some great reporters, but doesn't have the bench strength the WaPo has. The WSJ is in danger of becoming a shell of its former self - the Murdoch influence seems to be seeping into the news side. If you only have time for two, I'd dump one of the above in favor of the WaPo. And it's cheap if purchased through Amazon. |
