Tommy Nobis, ‘Mr. Falcon,’ is dead at 74 *

==============================

Everyone on this earth lives just a finite period of time. Each era is modern to those that live it. Geezers composing this board should be happy we grew up when NFL players were not rich celebrities, entitled reprobates, divisive self-promoters, or outright felons with talent.

Sure, our childhood heroes were flawed, but they were rarely coddled while sacrificing their bodies and longevities for peanuts. Tommy Nobis, Jim Otto, Frank Nunley, and Gayle Sayers still engender more respect from me than the kneeling jerks who have no perspective how privileged they are because of sacrifices on football fields and battlefields —or both—by those that preceded them.
