it's easy for fans of P5 programs to mock GO5 programs for acts like this...even though they recognize less-deserving and less-authentic titles from Alabama (No Bama, you do NOT have 16). 

But there was nothing that UCF group of players could have done to win a national title this year and that's #badword#ed up. Do I think UCF would have won a national title in a true playoff system? Probably not. Yet, the team did beat Auburn...which beat the team that won the national title. So it's not that "laughable." 

More importantly, these acts call attention to the unfairness of the current system. If GO5 schools are in the same division as P5 schools, then they should have the same access to championship formats. And they don't.

They don't because the P5 conferences and their bowl partners are greedy and engage in anticompetitive practices. 

So I will cheer for the underdog and against a corrupt system that makes it impossible for programs like UCF to ever play for the titles that the people here value.
